Better Late Than Never :P

So I'm a bit behind on my update :P But I've been trying to get my life organized -.- For those who don't know....

Organized is an
EVIL word... v.v

I need to fix my links over there <--- after all, they are a year old and I'm a 'web-tinkerer' lol. I'm not even sure how to describe that, so don't ask!
:P

Just to let ya know some of what I'm using to help "organize" myself...perhaps they might help you too. Of note, I will not post anything toooo personal in the blog...otherwise it'd not be "open" to the public :P. Yes you! :p

After my "organzing links" are my "organizing my computer" links
:p Even that gets messy, ya know ^_^ But everything posted below is free. Only the very last (sadly the very best) has a "buy" but there is a 30 day trial that I DO reccomend.

I'll post something funny in the next few days...but until then, here's the links!
:)

http://www.google.com/ig or otherwise known as IGoogle...you can add your links, your calendar (I have a different one then the standard Gmail), and have multiple pages. For example, have your Important Stuff on the first page, add some cool gadgets to the 2nd, etc. I made one specially for the calendar though, because it's big and I want it full size lol. So everything (mostly) that I'm posting I have in my "IGoogle" site.

http://www.keepandshare.com
This is an amazing place...the calendar I was just referring to is where this is at. But it's not just calendars, it also allows for Document Sharing and Creating (much like the Google one), ToDo lists, Address Book, Photo Blogs, Bookmarks (not only for if you are sharing your "views" but if you just want to organize your "good" bookmarks into a place that's not going to need to be "reformated" lol) But there's also a Discussion area...Sort of like creating a forum specifically for an idea or plan, people comment back and forth in the "group" on it. Really really neat, and I'm not explaining it well lol. They have many video tutorials, so check them out.

http://www.flylady.net
It's difficult to know exactly how to describe this site...but it's one I'm going to be working on using a lot. Life a bit of a clutter? This site is amazing at working on yourself...from cleaning, taking your medications, everything. There's both baby steps, and also a "control journal" although if you do work on this, work on it after the baby steps. Even if your life is relatively organized as it is, it doesn't hurt to do the "baby steps" so that you can train yourself to do things in a more efficient and less time consuming manner. Trust me on this lol. There is a "shop" area, but you honestly don't have to buy a thing.

And a few things for your desktop:

EssentialPIM
This is an excellent desktop program...the link I put for you is the comparison of the free vs. pay, but honestly you can do juuust fine with the free, it's an excellent program. Calendar with Alarms, To Do, Notes, Contacts, Address Book, Schedule...it's amazing. Yes, there's things on it that you can find on the link I about KeepandShare...but it's still a great desktop app if your someone who needs that...and you can't ignore the dang alarms -.-.

Revo Uninstaller Just as it says...but do make sure you read the instructions. It's way better than using your own computer's uninstaller, as you'd be suprised at how many things are left behind by programs.

Avast! Amazing, is all I have to say. Anti-Virus, Anti-Spyware, Anti-Rootkit... They also have a Virus Cleaner program...what that is (forgive me for pasting some of it):

If, despite all the security measures you take, your computer gets infected by a virus or worm, it is necessary to disinfect your system somehow. While for some viruses the only 100% reliable method of disinfection is restoring your system from backups, for many common infections this is not really necessary and the virus/worm can be removed quite easily.
SpyBot Search & Destroy You've probably heard of this one...I do have to reccomend not using the "teatimer" option that you can have inside it, but I do love this program. Easy to use, as well.

TuneUp Utilities It's not free, but there is a 30 day trial...I suggest giving it a trial lol. It's my favorite program, by far, even if I only have the "2008" version lol. Seriously though, check it out.
If your a computer beginner,I suggest using only the following Tabs

Free Up Disk Space ~
  • Unnecessary files and backups. Yes it is safe to remove the backups, as it does keep your latest backup.

  • Maintain Windows ~
    • One Click (safe, very safe)
    • Registry Cleaner (Feel free to get rid of all those beasts)
Drive Defrag (have the option check to automatically defrag if it needs to. If you defrag too often, believe it or not you can hurt your computer...Defragging means it has to go over every single area of your computer, so yeah = wear and tear. Let it figure out the best time, by checking that.)

Registry Defrag (I'd only use this if you do the "scan" and it shows that you can improve it by 20 percent or more.)
    Additional Tools ~

    • System Information This is a handy gadget, tells you a lot about your computer, and can assist you in recieving help from tech if you ever need it (like your computer company or whatever.
    • Shredder Make sure you want to shred what you are shredding...no going back on this one.
    • Uninstall Safe, but I still prefer the Revo Uninstaller mentioned above :)
That's all for now! Now lemme alone! :P Until next time!
